Death is a Cliche

Yesterday I went to Piirtovintti where people are drawing things and stuff from various themes.
This week the theme were 'tattoos' so I came up with usual; skull, flowers, beetle wings and all that jazz.

I wonder what it is with bones and skulls what makes them so pleasant to draw...
they look nice, yes, but there's something enchanting in things what remind us about death, eventhou we wouldn't want to meet our maker too soon.

The original is drawn with pencils and texture and slight coloring were added in photoshop.
